Pastor Scott Covey

Scott Covey was born on February 22, 1961 in Salida, Colorado. Growing up in the Willamette Valley his heart has always been fastened firmly to the roots of Oregon of which he has always claimed as home. Scott, grew up in a convoluted mix of church denominations, doctrines and deceptions. It wasn’t until his family found Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior through the ministry of an “old” circuit riding preacher that his heart was tuned toward the things of God. At the age of 13 on an altar at First Assembly in Albany, Oregon God called to Scott’s heart regarding full time ministry. It wasn’t until years later and much running that God once again broke through a renegade heart while Scott was fishing on the Island of Kodiak, Alaska. He returned home, enrolled in Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington and set his heart on God’s will for his life rather than his own.

Scott met and married the most beautiful woman in the world Tyrene and they have two teenage sons Taylor and Conner who keep them busy with hockey, soccer, track and basketball. Scott says of being the father of two teenagers “You would think that after 18 years of being a youth pastor I’d be better at it than I am.” As a family they love the outdoors, ATV’ing and travel. Scott and Tye just celebrated their 25th. wedding anniversary and their hearts continue to beat strong for their kids, the church family, world missions and the desire to see people truly experience the love of Jesus Christ. If asked to this day about his life or ministry, his response would be; “God has been very good to me in more ways than I ever deserved or could imagine. I’m humbled by his undeniable love for me and grateful for His grace that I always find near”.

Pastor Andy Rosen

I was born in October of 1977 in Newberg, Oregon, ironically the love of my life the women I would later marry was born in the same hospital 6 months later. Timelle’s parents were the youth pastors at Newberg First Assembly where my family attended, so we spent the first 2 years of our lives together in the nursery. After 2 years Timelle’s dad took a position in Montana and we went our separate ways for the next 10 years of our lives. When Timelle was a jr. higher they moved back to Salem, Oregon where her dad was pastoring. Timelle graduated from Mckay High School in 1996 the same year I was graduating from Newberg High School. It wasn’t until after Timelle’s graduation from Willamette University with a degree in International Studies, that we were reacquainted in 2002. We were married May 24, 2003 in Aloha, Oregon. After I graduated in May of 2004 from George Fox University with a degree in Exercise Science, Fitness Management, I decided to stop running from a calling that had been placed on my life over a decade before. See I had been called to the ministry when I was a jr. higher but I had ran from the calling for years. Now I was ready to submit to God’s will for our lives. Little did we know that submitting to his will would take us around the world to Jakarta Indonesia for a year and a half. In 2004 Timelle and I became the youth pastors at International Charismatic Worship Service in Jakarta. There were many challenges in our time ministering in Jakarta from acts of terrorism, to our church building being burned down. However God was so faithful to us and allowed us to see amazing things happen during our time in Jakarta. The end of 2005 and beginning of 2006 brought major change into our lives as we experienced the birth of our daughter Mikenzy and moved here to Central Point, Oregon to begin serving as youth pastors. We have now been in Central Point for 4 years and we have seen many wonderful things happen in the youth of this church. We also added Micah Rosen to our family last year. It has been an exciting time in our lives to minister in this church and we look forward to what God has in store for the future.

Pastor Ryan Fields

A long time ago in a galaxy far far way, in the little town of Roseburg, Oregon a baby was born like no other.  My family moved to Medford when I was five years old and I eventually graduated from North Medford High School (Go Black Tornado!) in 1997.  After six years of college, (no I’m not a doctor), I received my Bachelors of Science in Geography from Oregon State University in 2003.

Having been a techno-geek for many years I found myself working in Jackson County’s GIS lab after college for a short time before being hired by a local e-commerce company in their Information Technology department.  I worked there for three years eventually working my way up to the position of Network Administrator.  After volunteering in children’s ministries for several years I was officially hired as Central Point Assembly’s Children’s Pastor in January of 2008.  I thoroughly enjoy teaching the children of this generation the truth of the gospel message and enjoy watching their relationship with Christ blossom.

I have been married to my wonderful wife Amber for 3 years.  She is a wonderful blessing not just to my life but to the children that she ministers to on a weekly basis.  Amber is a 1998 graduate of Crater High School and a life-long resident of the Rogue Valley. Our son was born on Valentine’s Day, 2010.
